Finale 2026

If you have made it to the finals of this year’s ACSC, congratulations!

You will be joining us in Linz from the 14th (or 15th if you’re in the Open category) to the 17th of September 2026.

Please be mindful of the locations listed below. We will not be in the main IKT conference location for the competition, but rather in the WKO Oberösterreich.

On this page you will find a collection of all information you will need going forward.

Gamemode
#

This year will be a special edition, because we have a lot of fun stuff planned for you.

First of all, the CTF will be an Attack/Defense CTF, which means that you will need to defend your own services while attacking the other teams’ services. This is a very different experience from the Jeopardy-style CTF that you played during qualifiers, so we encourage you to make use of the testing slot.

We also introduce a LiveCTF component, which will run in 3 rounds with one player per team parallel to the A/D CTF. The LiveCTF will be a Jeopardy-style CTF with the categories announced beforehand, where you will be able to solve challenges and submit flags for points. The LiveCTF will be streamed with commentary to the IKT, which is why we require you to be able to stream your screen through a browser.

Finally, there will be a Hardware Challenge sponsored by Siemens. For those that did not participate in the CoE presentation (or want to refresh their memories) we have provided the slides. This will be played as parallel Jeopardy section, where you will be able to solve a number of challenges and submit flags for points.

Keep in mind the rules and that there is NO AI usage allowed in any part of the competition.

Equipment
#

Everybody needs to bring:

  • Laptop with enough storage space for screen recording see rules and an operating system that supports screen sharing through your browser (LiveCTF)
  • LAN cable (make sure that you can use it with your laptop = have an adapter if necessary)

There will likely not be enough space to bring additional monitors etc, so please do not expect that you can use one.

You will get:

  • ACSC 2026 T-Shirts and Jacket depending on what you chose during registration (we ask you to wear the T-Shirts during the CTF and award ceremony)
  • Prizes depending on how you score
  • Lots of fun and memories :)
